The symposium is our opportunity to learn from peers in our industry whether it be from technical professionals, regulators, or fellow AME’s. It is a place to learn old tricks and new techniques to keep our aircraft safe. After all, if AME’s were not adaptable from the beginning perhaps our industry would not be as resilient as it is today. Participating in this symposium and your AME association can only help our industry persevere in the future.

MISSION STATEMENT:
"WAMEA shall be a non-profit organization equipping its members with the knowledge which distinguishes the occupation of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) in the aviation industry".

OUR OBJECTIVES (summarized):

    * To represent and communicate the views and objects of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to the Minister of Transport, industry and other applicable government departments.

    * To promote honorable practices in the aviation industry, to repress malpractices, and to settle disputed points of practice.

    * To promote, improve and generally advance the occupation of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and to increase the knowledge of its members relating to the aviation industry through education and research.

    * To print, publish and disseminate technical or other information which relates to the occupation of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or to the aviation industry in general.
