Allows for crew deployment in situations where the helicopter is unable or unwilling to touch down. Designed to work in conjunction with the (A-Star) TSOP. The Fast Rope Hook attaches to an extended, overhead framework that allows personnel to safely & easily deploy from the helicopter. The hook is designed with a cable release to jettison the ropes once personnel are on the ground. This provides a ”safe & clean” departure for the helicopter (no ropes attached). Fast-Rope Hook is released from inside the helicopter by a two-function T-handle cable release. The hook, is specifically designed for fast-rope operations. After initial set up, the Fast-Rope Unit can be quickly installed (under 5 min.) on the helicopter. The entire system is designed to be user-friendly, no tools required-ideal for emergency response.
